Recently, I had the fortunate opportunity to spend some time in Indonesia to participate in several academic events. I was invited to lecture at Binus University where a friend heads up the nVidia AI Institute at the university. My talk was focused on commercialization activities- specifically how to grow sales starting at zero.
It was great to meet many of the faculty who had a genuine interest to foster innovation within the campus. Look out Silicon Valley there is some competition coming from Indonesia!
The lecture tour continued with talks at another university called Instiper which focuses exclusively on agricultural products such as palm oil. I was able to discuss the economic value of leveraging genomics information to improve crop production. Based on the production volumes, there is significant value for palm oil producers to incorporate genomics into their practices.
If there is any interest in learning more about these activities or Indonesia in general, please feel free to contact me at email@example.com
